New Treatment for the PRACTICE ADVERT

Yummy mummies and water

We have decided to change the product as well as the storyline for our product due to difficulties with casting. So now we have chosen to change the product to water  but kept Yummy Mummies as our target audience and simplified the contents of our advert. Our advert will start with a Mum rushing around tidying up, picking up toys. She then stops and rubs her head showing she has a headache, which is shown through a close up of her face. The door bell then rings and when going to answer the door the woman trips over a toy which will show a hectic lifestyle. The shot will then cut to the two friends chatting and having coffee at the table. The mum reaches for a pot of ‘Activia’ yoghurt, at the same time her friend pushes it away and says something along the lines of “Oh no, don’t use that to revitalise, use this!” and replaces it with a new brand of bottled water.

PRACTICE ADVERT Treatment - 'The Solution'

For our advert we have decided to advertise a perfume designed to improve the confidence of mums and transform their motherly looks into glamorous 'yummy mummies'. In the first half of the advert, the screen will be divided into two. With one side having a mum holding her child, who will be spilling a drink down her front, whilst his mother is having a stressful conversation on the phone, this will contrast with the other vertical split creen which will show a glamorous woman being pampered. She then sprays the perfume across the screen to the mother struggling, transforming the mother into a yummy mummy. This will be shown by the split screen then dissolving into the next shot which will be one woman managing her child (who is well behaved and clean) looking elegant. The final shot will blur to a white screen and the product name will appear on the screen in large, feminine writing. Our perfume will be a feminine shape, meaning a curvy bottle, getting the message across that curves are attractive. The bottle colour will be white with purple parts on, the writing will be metallic purple so that it stands out on a shelf with other perfumes.
